Groups and Workshops

Stress Less Group:

Our Stress Less group is currently being delivered via Zoom (online). It consists of 4 sessions, each session lasting 2 hours.

The topics covered in the course include:

  • What stress is, how stress affects us physically and psychologically
  • Mindfulness, relaxation techniques
  • Identifying good and bad ways of coping
  • Self-esteem, assertiveness
  • Staying well in future

Generalised Anxiety (Worry) Group:

Our Generalised Anxiety (Worry) group is 11 weeks long, each session lasts 2 hours and is delivered via zoom.

In this group, you will learn about the different types and classification of worries, the fight or flight system, intolerance of uncertainty. You will also learn strategies around letting worries go, present moment focus, problem-solving and/or behavioural changes to facilitate a reduction in distress and improve overall functioning.

Sleep Group:

Our Sleep Group is 6 weeks long, each session lasts 90 minutes and is delivered via zoom.

During the course you will learn about sleep hygiene, sleep efficiency (including sleep restriction), stimulus control, worry and relaxation, and unhelpful thinking/cognitive restructuring.

Changing Moods Group:

Our Changing Moods group is 12 weeks long, each session lasts 2 hours and is delivered via zoom.

The group covers:

  • Problem solving
  • Increasing activity and managing routine
  • Identifying unhelpful thinking styles
  • Challenging unhelpful thoughts
  • Diffusion techniques

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Workshop:

Our Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) workshop is 4 weeks long, each session lasts 90 minutes and is delivered via zoom.

The workshop aims to provide those experiencing PTSD with a better understanding of the symptoms of PTSD and what has caused them to develop these symptoms. It also covers ways of managing these symptoms.

Compassion Focused Therapy Group:

Our Compassion Focused Therapy group is 12 weeks long, each session lasts 2 hours and is delivered via zoom.

In this group, you will learn about compassion, regulating our emotions, mindfulness, our inner critic, the emotion of shame, and committing to a life with compassion.
